Description The Mi-Flex FastFix-Screw Pot Hanging Cowl (Natural) – Ø150 is part of the Fast-Fix Screw accessory system, expertly engineered for use with MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners. This robust and easy-to-fit component is positioned at the top of the chimney pot to support the weight of the liner while providing integrated weather and bird protection. Applications This cowl is used to prevent the ingress of rain, birds, and debris into the flue system while supporting the flue liner from the chimney pot. It is compatible only with MI-FLEX liners and should be installed in accordance with Building Regulations Document J, ensuring the liner is fully enclosed within a masonry chimney. Installation and Maintenance The FastFix-Screw system allows for simple and secure connection without additional fixings. Regular inspection and sweeping of the flue system should be carried out by a competent person at least once a year. For solid fuel systems, it is recommended to sweep twice yearly—at the end and start of the heating season. Avoid chemical cleaners and mild steel tools when maintaining stainless steel chimneys.
