Description The 12mm rods are made from extremely durable solid nylon and are quadruple crimped to the fittings/ferrules on either end of the rod, they are manufactured from anodized aircraft aluminium, so there is no corrosion. These rods are very light but strong and suited to sweeping stove liners and they cope with 90? bends with ease. They are suitable for liners from 5″ to 8″. The rods are purposely 90cm in length, the reason why is that the thinner the rod that is used, the too long a length loses its rigidity and causes ‘liner slap’, which stresses the rod which will eventually snap. We found after much testing, that a slightly stiffer but still very flexible rod is better at 90cm and can get around 90° bends with ease.
