Measuring 1250mm x 600mm, it features two access holes perfectly suited for 125mm and 150mm (5 and 6-inch) Black Stove Pipes. Note: Avoid using this Register Plate if planning to use vermiculite for insulating your flue. Application: This Register Plate is adaptable and can be precisely tailored on-site to fit your chimney stack’s base size. Its purpose is to provide substantial support for vermiculite while preventing any debris from within the chimney stack from descending and impacting your stove. Construction: Crafted from robust 1.5mm thick galvanized steel, both the Register Plate and its Supporting Brackets ensure durability and reliability. The plate can be painted to match the colour of your stove pipe. This Register Plate includes a specialized adaptor suitable for installations utilizing either 125mm or 150mm diameter flue pipes. Installation: Begin installation by cutting the four supporting brackets to the required length and width of your chimney stack’s base. Drill appropriate holes in the brackets and securely fasten them into the brickwork. Carefully cut the Register Plate to the correct size, ensuring the pipe hole aligns vertically above the Black Stove Pipe. Lower the plate onto the supporting brackets and seal any gaps between the brickwork, brackets, or plate using Fire Cement or High-Temperature Sealant. For 150mm diameter installations, simply remove the center cover ring by unscrewing the two retaining screws. Maintenance: Regular maintenance is essential. Sweep and maintain chimneys serving solid fuel appliances as necessary, at least once a year. During these checks, remove the Register Plate’s inspection hole cover plate(s) to vacuum or sweep any fallen debris. However, refrain from removing cover plates if vermiculite insulation has been installed.
