Measuring 1000mm x 400mm, it features two access holes, specifically designed to accommodate 125mm and 150mm (5 and 6-inch) Black Stove Pipes. Please note, avoid using this Register Plate if you intend to utilize vermiculite for insulating your flue. Application: Ideal for sealing the chimney base, this Register Plate can be adjusted on-site to fit your chimney stack’s base size precisely. It functions to support vermiculite while preventing debris from the chimney stack from descending and potentially affecting your stove. Construction: Crafted from robust 1.5mm thick galvanized steel, both the Register Plate and its Supporting Brackets offer durability. The plate can be painted to match your stove pipe’s colour. This Register Plate incorporates a specialized adaptor suitable for either 125mm or 150mm diameter flue pipes. Installation: Begin by cutting the four supporting brackets to match the length and width of your chimney stack’s base. Drill appropriate holes in the brackets and securely fasten them into the brickwork. Trim the Register Plate to the correct size, ensuring the pipe hole aligns vertically above the Black Stove Pipe. Lower the plate onto the supporting brackets and seal any gaps between the brickwork, brackets, or plate using Fire Cement or High-Temperature Sealant. For 150mm diameter installations, simply remove the center cover ring by unscrewing the two retaining screws. Maintenance: Regular maintenance is key. Sweep and maintain chimneys serving solid fuel appliances as necessary, at least once a year. During these checks, remove the Register Plates inspection hole cover plate(s) to vacuum or sweep any fallen debris. However, refrain from removing cover plates if vermiculite insulation has been installed.
